Meza made her acting debut in the TV series Chespirito in 1970 and starred in El Chapilin Colorado in 1973. She starred as Dona Florinda in the series El Chavo del Ocho from 1972 to 1978. She also starred in Chespirito in 1990. Florinda produced for the TV series Maria de nadie in 1985 and La duena in 1995. She wrote for the TV series Milagro y magia in 1991. Meza wrote and produced for the 1997 television series Alguna vez tendremos alas. She married Roberto Gomez Bolanos in 2004, though they had been together for many years before making it official. He passed away in November 2014.
