Naturally, Joao Roberto Marinho made his career beginnings in his father’s company as a journalist for the newspaper “O Globo”. Over the years, he also became Managing Director of the Roberto Marinho Foundation as well as Chairman of the Editorial Board who in practical terms determines the editorial line of the Globo Organizations. Joao Roberto Marinho is married to Gisela Marinho, with whom he has one son, Rodrigo Marinho, the vice president of the Globo Organizations today.
