The Smithereens also released the albums A Date with The Smithereens in 1994, God Save The Smithereens in 1999, Meet The Smithereens! in 2007, Christmas with The Smithereens in 2007, B-Sides The Beatles in 2008, The Smithereens Play Tommy in 2009, and 2011 in 2011. The band’s single “Only a Memory” reached #1 on the US Mainstream Rock chart and their single “A Girl Like You” reached #2 on the same chart and #3 on the US Modern Rock chart. DiNizio also released four solo albums, appeared in a handful of films, and authored a book. Pat DiNizio passed away on December 12, 2017 at the age of 62.
