Aerts has won three K-1 World Grand Prix Championships. Aerts has more than 100 total kickboxing wins in just over 140 fights. His notable students include Mourad Bouzidi, Robin van Roosmalen, and Leroy Kaestner. Aerts is a two time IKBF World Heavyweight Champion, a four time WMTA World Heavyweight Muay Thai Champion, and a two time WMTA World Super Heavyweight Muay Thai Champion.
