He earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6800 Hollywood Blvd. Widmark was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 2002. During his career Widmark had over 75 acting credits to his name. He retired from acting in 2001. Richard Widmark passed away on March 24, 2009 at 93 years old after battling a long illness.
