Stacey eventually opened his own vehicle moderation shop in Nashville called, The Rattletrap. The Rattletrap offered suspension work, custom paint jobs, metal fab, restoration and much more. The shop built a stellar reputation, and in 1998, Stacey was offered a job hosting, “Trucks!” on Spike TV. Within a few months, “Trucks!” was the highest rated show in the history of SpikeTV (which later became TruTV) Stacey hosted the show for eight years, and then moved on to host “Stacey David’s GearZ” on ESPN2 and Spike TV. Outside of the automobile industry, Stacey David is rumored to be a very talented musician who even played guitar professional in his early years to raise money for car projects. He makes frequent public appearances at auto shows around the country and is a highly sought after product endorser. He has a passion for all things automotive, with a special emphasis on four wheel drive vehicles and off roading in exotic locations. Stacey’s show GearZ now also frequently airs on MAVTV.
